Donald Lemieux  

Donald G. Lemieux, 88, of Holyoke and formerly of Springfield, passed away on Saturday. He was born in and grew up in Holyoke. He enlisted in the U.S. Army and served in the 355th Engineers Battalion during World War II. He received an Honorable Discharge in 1945. He became a Springfield firefighter in 1947, and later became an EMT, retiring in 1979 after 32 years. He was a communicant of St. Catherine of Sienna Parish in Springfield, and was a member of the Chicopee Lodge Elks and the American Legion Post 277 of Indian Orchard.
