Police said it appears to be an isolated incident and there is no risk to public safety.
An Amherst Police cruiser. AMHERST - A 21-year-old man was stabbed at a house party at 66 Pine St. early Saturday, and police are investigating the incident.
According to an Amherst Police Department press release, officers responded to the address at 12:34 a.m. for an assault report. They found the man with non-life-threatening stab wounds to the neck and chest. His hand also was cut. The man was taken to Baystate Medical Center in Springfield for treatment, police said.
"The incident appears to be isolated and not a risk to public safety. No arrests have been made and the incident remains under investigation," the release states.
