Witnesses said three men stepped forward and shot the two 17-year-old youths.
PITTSFIELD — A Pittsfield man was released on $10,000 cash bail Tuesday after a Superior Court judge cut his original $20,000 bail.Vincent C, Jennings, 23, of Linden Street in Pittsfield, was arrested and charged with two counts of felony aggravated assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and firearms charges in connection with the June 16 shooting of two Pittsfield youths.Police are continuing to look for seven other people they say were involved in the shooting.
According to the Berkshire Eagle, police say they have a witness who told them Jennings was one of eight people, all wearing black hooded sweatshirts, who were hanging out on the 1st Street Commons at about 4 a.m. June 16. According to the witness, Jennings and two others started shooting at two 17-year-old juvenile males who were at the park that morning. One was hit in the buttocks and his pelvis was shattered. The other youth was wounded in the leg.
Second Assistant District Attorney Robert W. Kinzer told the judge at the bail hearing that Jennings was positively identified by a witness as one of three shooters.
So far, no other arrests have been made.
