Two cars collided in Holyoke causing traffic light issues on Maple Street.
HOLYOKE — One woman was injured and a traffic post was damaged during a two-car accident at the intersection of Maple and Cabot streets, officials said.
Police and firefighters responded to the accident at 10:47 a.m. Sunday.
Police said one car was driving south on Maple street and collided with a vehicle going west on Cabot Street, which ran a red light.
Police said firefighters used the Jaws of Life to assist the driver of the vehicle traveling on Maple Street. She was transported to Holyoke Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
As a result of the impact the vehicle on Maple Street crashed into a traffic light damaging it. The light was not operational for a short time. Electricity has since been restored to the traffic light, officials said.
