Police responded to Baystate Medical Canter for a report of a 17-year-old stabbing victim, but it remains unclear where the crime occurred.
SPRINGFIELD — Police on Saturday responded to Baystate Medical Center for a report of a 17-year-old stabbing victim, but it remains unclear where the crime occurred. The initial 8:15 p.m. report indicated the male victim was stabbed on the second floor of 2972 Main St., a large apartment building at the corner of Main and Portland streets. But less than a half-hour into the investigation, authorities determined the stabbing happened elsewhere.
"This incident did not happen here. The victim came here and asked for a ride to the hospital," a Springfield police officer said.
Authorities said the victim was uncooperative.
