State police stopped Cheryl Shattuck after seeing her driving too slow and drifting all over I-291.

SPRINGFIELD - State police arrested a 41-year-old Ludlow woman for drunken driving and other charges Thursday morning after a trooper spotted her car driving slowly and weaving between lanes on Interstate 291, police said.

Cheryl Shattuck was charged with operating under the influence of alcohol, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, a marked-lanes violation and failure to wear a seatbelt.

The arrest is her second for drunken driving, police said.

According to state police, trooper Robert Church of the Springfield barracks was on routine patrol at about 1:30 a.m. when he spotted a car heading west bound on I-291 that was drifting across the highway.

He stopped the vehicle and arrested Shattuck after allegedly determining she was intoxicated.

She was scheduled to be arraigned in Springfield District Court Thursday but court information was not immediately available.
