Blaire Sieber, a Westover reservist and contestant on Season 11 of "American Idol."Singer Blaire Sieber will be flying high tonight as she hopes to advance on "American Idol."
Sieber, a technical sergeant at Westover Air Reserve Base in Chicopee, will appear on the popular Fox talent series at 8 p.m.
A loadmaster for the 337th Airlift Squadron, Sieber lives in Medford. She has been an Air Force reservist for eight years.
Auditioning in Savannah last month, Sieber advanced in the "Idol" competition and earned a golden ticket to Hollywood.
An Arizona native, Sieber has been singing since childhood. She competed last year in the Season 10 competition.
On her Facebook page, Sieber counts Miranda Lambert, Grace Potter and Marc Broussard among her influences. She hopes to keep “the edge in modern country music.” Her favorite "Idol"contestant is country great Carrie Underwood.
