A 20-year-old man is facing a murder charge after allegedly killing his 58-year-old father on a Weymouth street.
Authorities say Michael Beaudry is being held overnight prior to his arraignment Tuesday in the death of his father, Ronald Beaudry.
They say police received a call Monday afternoon that the elder Beaudry was laying in an intersection near the family's home. They say he was taken to the hospital, where he was declared dead.
A spokesman for the Norfolk District Attorney's office said Beaudry appears to have died from blunt force trauma. He said police were still investigating what he was struck with and what caused the fight.
One witness told the Boston Herald (http://bit.ly/WN0rth) that he saw the younger Beaudry holding his bloodied father's head and screaming 'I'm sorry! I didn't mean to! Please, Dad."
