A light coating of 1-2 inches of snow is in the forecast.

With a light coating of snow in today's forecast, some area schools are beginning to announce early dismissals.

Monson Schools: No afternoon preschool
Pathfinder Vocational, Palmer: Closing at 10:45 a.m.
Somers Public Schools: Early dismissal, no activities
YSET Academy-Springfield:No classes this afternoon, No afternoon kindergarten or pre school
Lincoln Culinary Institute: No afternoon or evening classes
