Surveillance cameras show a man through a brick through a window to break into the store.
LUDLOW – A thief who broke into a liquor store may have been trying to celebrate New Year’s a little early.
Police are investigating the Sunday morning break into the Turnpike Liquor Store on Route 21. Surveillance cameras show a man threw a brick through a door window at 12:09 a.m. so he could enter the store, Sgt. Daniel Valadas said.
The man stole two bottles of champagne that were near the store entrance and fled. The champagne was worth a total of $24, Valadas said.
