One firefighter was injured when he fell from a ladder at the scene.
SPRINGFIELD -- A fire reported at a Durant Street home Monday morning damaged the rear of the building and left one firefighter injured.
The blaze at 125 Durant St. was reported shortly after 11 a.m.
Dennis Leger, aide for fire commissioner Joseph A. Conant, said one firefighter was injured when he fell from a ladder at the scene. The firefighter's condition was not immediately available.
The occupants of the home were not present when the fire broke out, Leger said. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
