Police believe that the two armed robberies are related.
GREENFIELD - Police are investigating an armed robbery that was reported Friday night at JC's Market on Conway Street in which a robber threatened the clerk with a handgun and stole money.
Detective Lt. S. Daniel McCarthy said the man was wearing a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt and had a handkerchief over his mouth when he entered the store just before 6 p.m. holding a small, black handgun, demanding money.
He said the man was described as young, white, and approximately 6 feet tall. He said this incident was similar to another armed robbery that was reported on Nov. 12 at Valley Mart on Mill Street; police believe the two robberies are linked.
Police are reviewing video from the stores. Anyone with information is asked to call detectives at (413) 773-5411.
