JOHNSTON, R.I. (AP) — One of two suspects in a Rhode Island double homicide and the abduction of a 2-year-old is expected to be arraigned in Massachusetts.
The clerk's office at Fall River District Court says 22-year-old Malcolm Crowell is expected to appear sometime Monday on a fugitive-from-justice warrant.
Crowell and Daniel Rodriguez were arrested Sunday in connection with the two killings and the abduction of 2-year-old Isaiah Perez from the Johnston home.
Perez is the son of one of the slaying victims. He was later found unharmed wandering through a housing project in Providence.
Rodriguez was arrested in Rhode Island, where it is a state holiday Monday, so he is not scheduled to appear in court.
Johnston police have scheduled an 11 a.m. news conference to discuss the case.
