The family was displaced, and is being assisted with housing by the Red Cross.
WARREN - A structure fire at 601 Coy Hill Road Friday night displaced the family who lived at the ranch-style home.
The fire is being investigated by the state fire marshal’s office. The 911 call came in just before 8 p.m. from the family living there about the fire, and police and firefighters could see smoke showing upon their arrival at the residence.
The fire was contained to one bedroom and a bathroom. No injuries were reported, according to a Warren Fire Department press release.
Warren firefighters were assisted by firefighters from Brimfield, Ware, Brookfield and West Brookfield. Brimfield also provided an ambulance.
Firefighter-emergency medical technical Paul Russell Jr. said the family was assisted by the Red Cross. He said it took approximately 15 minutes to get the fire under control. Firefighters cleared the scene at approximately 11 p.m.
