SPRINGFIELD — A man told police he was robbed of $700 by three men near the corner of Bay and Sycamore streets around 2:50 a.m. Thursday in the city's Bay neighborhood.
The victim, who claimed one of the assailants was armed with a baseball bat, told investigators he wouldn't be able to identify the suspects, whom he described as three black men.
Springfield Police Sgt. Richard Labelle confirmed the robbery, but he said he had yet to review a report on the incident. Additional information was unavailable.
