SOUTH HADLEY -- The Northwestern District Attorney's Office on Wednesday confirmed that the body found in the Connecticut River July 10 was a 5-year-old California girl who went missing after falling into the water during a family gathering.
Communications director Mary Carey identified the girl as Abigail Luker, 5, of La Mesa, California.
Luker fell from a dock at a Cove Island Road home on July 6.
"Luker's death was determined to be a tragic accident, with no foul play whatsoever involved," Carey wrote.
