A 24-year-old woman was taken to Baystate Medical Center for treatment of injuries she sustained in a car crash on I-91, Massachusetts State Police Sgt. Richard Gawron said.
WEST SPRINGFIELD — A one-car crash on Interstate 91 around 1 a.m. Thursday sent a 24-year-old woman to the hospital with injuries, according to Massachusetts State Police Sgt. Richard Gawron.
"We don't know exactly what happened," Gawron said, adding that the incident remains under investigation.
West Springfield firefighters responded to the crash, which happened just south of Exit 14. The woman was taken to Baystate Medical Center in Springfield for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, Gawron said.
The crash prompted troopers to close the left and center southbound lanes of I-91. Both lanes were expected to reopen around 1:30 a.m., said Gawron, who's stationed at the Springfield barracks.
