Western Mass Crime Briefs: West Springfield man busted on fugitive-from-justice warrant; Springfield man charged with 'open and gross lewdness'

Springfield police records show Kryzsztof Fedorowicz, a 52-year-old resident of the city's Forest Park neighborhood, was charged with open and gross lewdness and assaulting a cop, among other offenses.

WEST SPRINGFIELD — A Globe Street resident was arrested on a fugitive-from-justice warrant late Friday afternoon, according to West Springfield Police Department records, which don't include details about the warrant.

Police responding to a 5:07 p.m. domestic disturbance call at 11 Globe St. took 40-year-old Javier Hector Vargas into custody on the warrant and charged him with assault, assault and battery and threatening to commit a crime, records show. Arraignment information was unavailable.
