A federal grant will pay for the $200,000 field renovation.
HOLYOKE -- The public's views about a planned renovation of Avery Field will be sought at meetings Tuesday at 6 p.m. at the YMCA, 171 Pine St., and Thursday at noon at the park, which is between the end of Oak Street and Hampden Street.
Mayor Alex B. Morse has decided $200,000 of the city's federal Community Development Block Grant will go to renovate Avery Field, said a press release from the Parks and Recreation Department.
