The Armoury-Quadrangle Civic Association will discuss details and questions about the proposed casino and downtown cultural district.
SPRINGFIELD — The Armoury-Quadrangle Civic Association will meet June 20, at Classical Condominiums, 235 State St., to discuss plans for downtown related to a proposed MGM Resorts International casino and the Springfield Museums proposal for a cultural district.
The meeting is at 6:30 p.m. There is free parking in the adjacent library/museums lot.
There will be a discussion of both proposals, including a review of the specifics, whether the plans help the Springfield economy, if they can make Springfield a tourist destination, and if the plans can work together, organizers said.
