WESTON – A three-car accident killed a Roslindale woman and left her two teenaged children with minor injuries Saturday, according to state police.
The accident happened at about 12:30 p.m. on the ramps from the Massachusetts Turnpike to Route 128 northbound in Weston. A 1996 Toyota Carolla, was badly damaged and trapped the mother and two children, aged 15 and 15 inside, state police said.
The three were extricated and transported to Beth Isreal Hospital where Ana M. Espinal, 43, died. She had been driving the car.
The operators of the other two vehicles involved were not injured. The cause of the crash is under investigation by Troop E of the Massachusetts State Police. Alcohol is not believed to a factor.
