Late morning accidents in westbound lanes of Massachusetts Turnpike in Palmer snarl traffic; state police report both scenes cleared

PALMER -- Two accidents in the westbound lanes of the Massachusetts Turnpike snarled traffic late Wednesday morning.

Minor injuries were reported in both crashes. State police in the Charlton barracks, reporting at about 12:30 p.m., said both scenes have been cleared and traffic is flowing smoothly.

One crash occurred on the ramp leading from Interchange 8 onto the westbound lanes and the other occurred about two miles west of the interchange, state police said.
