Police continue to search for at least two more suspects.
WEST SPRINGFIELD -- Police arrested two suspects late Saturday night and continue to search for at least two more as they investigate the armed robbery of pizza and Buffalo wings from two fast-food delivery workers the night before.
Capt. Daniel Spaulding said detective Matthew Mattina tracked down the suspects by tracing the cell phone call allegedly made by the suspects when they called in their order.
The cell phone belonged to a relative of one of the suspects and those arrested admitted their involvement in the crime, he said.
Spaulding said the armed robbery occurred shortly before midnight Friday when the victims were summoned to Bob’s Court apartments at 2071 Riverdale St.
The victims told police when they got out of their vehicle to make their delivery they were greeted by a female and then three males armed with guns.
The victims gave up the pizza and Buffalo wings, but escaped from the alleged robbers before giving up any cash, police said. The victims said the suspects fled the scene in a dark SUV.
Spaulding said Mattina arrested two suspects shortly before midnight Saturday during a motor vehicle stop at Riverdale Street and Brush Hill Avenue.
Frances DeLeon, 19, of 303 High St., Apt. 2N, New Britain, Conn., was charged with armed robbery. Eric J. Martinez, 29, of 105 Felker St., Apt. 8, Lowell, was charged with armed robbery and driving with a suspended license, police documents state.
